An Anatomy of Online Fraud - why everyone in tech should learn about it

In 2023, scammers stole over $1 trillion from victims, according to the Global Anti-Scam Alliance. Given the digital economy we all live in and increasing sophistication of technology, both consumers and businesses are under increasing threat from bad actors who conveniently hide behind their screens, leverage Gen AI to dupe us into giving away our money. This session provides an engaging, digestible narrative of how online fraud came about, how it evolved over the years, what kind of tools tech companies are deploying against them, and what we all can do to protect ourselves. This is also an exciting field to go into for those who are interested in analytics, AI, technology development, and trust-building design.

Product-Led Growth
In this interactive session, we'll dive into the core principles of Product-Led Growth (PLG) and explore how successful products leverage network effects and key product loops to drive exponential user growth and retention. We'll discuss how PLG shifts the traditional marketing-driven growth strategies to a product-first approach, where the product itself is the main driver of acquisition, expansion, and retention. By the end of this session, participants will have a solid understanding of how to apply PLG strategies in their own products, harnessing network effects and designing effective product loops to drive sustainable growth.
